Ukraine war: China offers 12 points including peace talks

China has proposed 12 points to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. It included calls for a ceasefire and peace talks. The proposals came on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine. News AP.

Russia has a strong alliance with China, although it has not publicly taken sides in the war. Kiev welcomed this initiative of Beijing. On the other hand, Washington's position is critical. This Friday morning (February 24), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced a detailed plan in this regard.

It called for an end to Western sanctions on Russia, protection of nuclear facilities, establishment of corridors for the evacuation of civilians and measures to ensure grain exports.

Despite claiming to be neutral in the conflict, Beijing has always refused to condemn the attack on Ukraine. Their stance on Western arms supplies to Kiev is critical.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Moscow this week. Then he met Russian President Vladimir Putin. At that time, he announced the strength of the relationship between the two countries. But before the proposal was released, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called it an important first step.

He said China has started talking about peace in Ukraine, not in a bad way in general. In all countries that matter, we are on our side, on the side of justice.

Meanwhile, on Thursday (February 23), US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said that the alliance with Russia means that they are not neutral mediators. America wants nothing more than a just and lasting peace. However, they are skeptical whether China's proposal will proceed in a constructive way.

He also said that the countries that have relations with Moscow will play a role in stopping the aggression.

madonna makes joke about ‘swelling from surgery

Madonna joked about plastic surgery in her latest social media post following the criticism she received over her appearance earlier this month at the Grammys. Madonna appeared at the ceremony to introduce Sam Smith and Kim Petras' performance of "Unholy," but the "Material Girl" singer was met with negative social media comments about her face and claims that plastic surgery has made her unrecognizable. In her latest Twitter post Monday, Madonna appeared to make light of the comments while sharing a new photo of herself. "Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol," she wrote. After the Grammys ceremony, Madonna hit back at the critics of her appearance, accusing them of "ageism and misogyny." She wrote on Instagram: "Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim- Many people chose to only talk about Close-up photos of me Taken w...

Diplomatic conflict in India amid Ukraine war

The Ukraine war dominates the G20 foreign ministers' summit in New Delhi. Despite Prime Minister Modi's call for unity, tensions between the Western world and Russia show no signs of easing. Russia is desperately trying to capture the city of Bakhmut in an attempt to control eastern Ukraine. Despite heavy attacks, the Ukrainian army continues to resist. But whether it will be possible to withstand that pressure indefinitely, there are doubts within Ukraine. Member of Parliament of that country Sirhi Rakhmanin said that for now the aim is to harm the Russian forces as much as possible. According to him, either there is an organized retreat, or the struggle must continue. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his troops were in control of every sector of the battlefield. It should be noted that the conflict for the control of Bakhmut city has been going on for the last seven months. Ukraine is gaining prominence in the diplomatic arena as well as on the battlefield.
