The image of the Queen is being removed from Australian bank notes

 


Australia is going to remove the image of Queen Elizabeth II from its $5 banknote. Apart from this, the central bank of the country said that there is no picture of King Charles III.


The country has taken such initiative to reflect the history of tribal culture and to respect this culture. Australia's central bank said on Thursday that its $5 banknote will replace the image of the Queen with Aboriginal culture.


The decision was taken in consultation with the central government and the government has expressed its support for the image change. At present no other bank notes are being considered to be changed. It is unclear when the new $5 design will be unveiled. BBC.
