The G-20 summit ended without consensus



A meeting of finance ministers of the G20 countries was held in Bengaluru, India. A joint statement is usually released after such meetings. But this time it didn't happen like that. Because in the joint statement, most of the countries decided to criticize the war in Ukraine. But opposed by Russia and China. Because of this, no joint statement was released after the meeting of finance ministers.


Meanwhile, India, the country presiding over the meeting, said in a statement what issues were discussed. India's finance minister said that the war situation in Ukraine was included in the joint statement of the meeting. China and Russia objected to the matter.



He said China and Russia did not want the issue to be included in the joint statement. They said that the job of finance ministers is to discuss economic issues. World politics should not get involved.


Indian Finance Ministry Secretary Ajay Seth said in this regard, only the word war was not asked to be removed. Russia and China were asked to drop the whole thing. Meanwhile, the rest of the 18 countries felt that the Ukraine war had a major impact on the world economy.


India's statement as president of the G20 said that most of the members strongly condemned the war in Ukraine. Almost all members emphasized that the war was causing a lot of suffering. This war has made the world economy fragile.

2 killed in Russian attack on Zaporizhia: Ukraine
