North Korea has conducted another missile test on the east coast. The country has test-fired a pair of short-range intercontinental ballistic missiles after suspending launch operations for two days. This information was reported by the South Korean army on Monday. News Al Jazeera.
The United States and South Korea held joint military exercises on Sunday. North Korea launched a ballistic missile the day after this exercise. South Korea's military condemned the missile test as motivated.
According to North Korean state media, a pair of missiles were tested using two rocket launchers. The distance of one of them was 395 km and the other was 337 km. North Korea said the two missiles were able to accurately hit the target.
State news agency KCNA said the 600mm multiple rocket launcher is a means of tactical nuclear weapons. It is capable of "crippling" enemy airfields.
In this regard. Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said they conducted a missile test from an unknown location. It was launched towards the Sea of Japan.
The Japanese Prime Minister expressed deep concern in a tweet about such actions by North Korea, saying that the country launched a suspected ballistic missile on Monday. However, the Japanese Coast Guard believes that the missile has already entered the sea. Details were not immediately available.
