Investigation against 612 people for alleged irregularities in building construction in Turkey

 


The government has started an investigation against 612 people for alleged irregularities in the construction of buildings in Turkey. It is alleged that there were defects in the building because they did not construct the building in accordance with the proper law.


Turkey's Law Minister Bekir Bazdag gave this information on Saturday. Al-Jazeera news.Bekir Bajdag said that 184 of the 612 suspects are already in prison for being involved in construction defects. Among them are building contractors, owners and managers.


In the morning of February 6, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 caused about 173,000 buildings to collapse in Turkey. More than 44 thousand people lost their lives buried under the rubble. In addition, more than 5,500 people have been killed in Syria.

2 killed in Russian attack on Zaporizhia: Ukraine

  At least two people were killed in a Russian attack on an apartment building in the much-discussed Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia.
